Aluminum Honeycomb Installation
Our aluminium honeycomb panels consist of a hexagon of a honeycomb core and two sheets of aluminium or other skins on the surface. Its hexagonal shaped core enables optimal mechanical properties and is able to withstand shear loads at much lower weight than foam or other core types. High rigidity and excellent flatness make it a popular choice for designers when they expect.
Due to their excellent mechanical properties, honeycomb panels and cores are widely used in aircraft, railway vehicles, naval structures, automobiles and many applications.
Five common installation methods for aluminum honeycomb panels
1. Lifting ear type
The lifting ear and the honeycomb panel are separated. The lifting ear is connected to the glue seam position of the honeycomb panel after being processed separately. The suitable width of the glue seam is ≥12mm. This installation method makes the processing simple and the installation convenient.
2. Flanging
It is a flange for installation when processing aluminum honeycomb panels. The installation only needs to place the connection with the keel and the glue seam. The suitable glue seam width is ≥ 10mm. This method is easy to install, but the processing is slightly complicated, and it is not suitable for Shaped curtain wall panels.
3. Hook-up hoisting
It is mainly used in ceilings with infinite height difference and no special shape. After installation, the ceiling is stable as a whole. This method is not recommended for honeycomb panels with larger spokes and thinner panels.
4. Z-shaped pendant hoisting
It is widely used, easy to process, simple to install, and can be repaired by someone after hoisting. It is suitable for ceiling installation of any shape.
5. U-shaped pendant type
Use the method of hanging directly to the keel below, and then fixing it with the keel at the reach of the hand. This hoisting method solves the problem of the ordinary Z-shaped pendant type, which has a wide spoke and a low keel, which cannot be installed by people.
